NCC/NSS Details

At present, Sikkim International University does not have formally established units of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) or the National Service Scheme (NSS). However, the University strongly believes in promoting discipline, leadership, social responsibility, and community engagement among its students.

Even in the absence of formal NCC/NSS units, students are actively encouraged to participate in various social, cultural, environmental, and community development initiatives organized by the University. These activities aim to instill a sense of civic responsibility, teamwork, and national commitment.

The University regularly organizes awareness programs, cleanliness drives, plantation campaigns, health camps, blood donation camps, and outreach activities in collaboration with local communities and organizations. Students are also motivated to engage in social welfare activities, disaster relief initiatives, and educational support programs for underprivileged sections of society.

Sikkim International University remains committed to holistic student development and plans to establish NCC and/or NSS units in the future, subject to approval from the concerned authorities. The institution continues to provide opportunities that nurture leadership qualities, social awareness, and ethical values among students.
