Anti-Ragging Cell

The University has constituted an Anti-Ragging Cell in strict compliance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions and the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. The primary objective of the Cell is to prevent, prohibit, and eliminate any form of ragging within the campus and affiliated facilities.

The University maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form, whether physical, verbal, psychological, or online. Ragging is strictly prohibited in academic buildings, hostels, common areas, and all university-related activities. Any act of ragging is treated as a serious offense and attracts strict disciplinary action in accordance with UGC regulations and institutional rules.

The Anti-Ragging Cell actively conducts awareness programs, orientation sessions for newly admitted students, and sensitization initiatives to educate students about the harmful effects and legal consequences of ragging. Students and parents are required to submit anti-ragging undertakings at the time of admission as mandated by UGC norms.

A proper mechanism is in place for receiving complaints through confidential channels. All complaints are promptly investigated, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and protection against victimization. Depending on the severity of the offense, disciplinary measures may include suspension, expulsion, cancellation of admission, or other penalties as per regulations.

Through proactive monitoring and awareness initiatives, the University is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive campus environment where students can pursue their academic journey with dignity and confidence.
