Reservation Roster (wherever applicable)

Sikkim International University adheres to the reservation policies and guidelines issued by the Government of India and the University Grants Commission (UGC), wherever applicable, in matters relating to admissions, recruitment, and institutional appointments. The University is committed to promoting social justice, inclusivity, and equal opportunity in higher education.

The Reservation Roster is maintained strictly in accordance with the provisions of the UGC Act, 1956, and applicable Government regulations for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC – Non-Creamy Layer), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). Reservation percentages, eligibility criteria, and related procedures are implemented as per the prevailing statutory norms and official notifications.

In recruitment matters, the University maintains a post-based reservation roster system to ensure transparency and compliance with Government directives. All advertisements for teaching and non-teaching positions clearly indicate reservation categories, and selection processes are conducted in a fair, merit-based, and legally compliant manner.

For admissions, reservation benefits are extended to eligible candidates in accordance with UGC guidelines and applicable statutory provisions. Candidates seeking reservation are required to submit valid and recognized certificates issued by competent authorities.

The University regularly reviews and updates its reservation roster to remain aligned with amendments in Government and UGC regulations. Through the implementation of these policies, Sikkim International University strives to create an inclusive academic environment that supports diversity, equity, and access to quality higher education for all sections of society.
